Junior Cycle

Core Subjects

All students study the following core subjects at Junior Cycle:

• English
• Irish
• Maths
• Science
• History
• Geography
• Religion
• Modern Foreign Language (either French or Spanish)

Option Subjects

All students study 2 of the following option subjects:

• Visual Art
• Music
• Applied Technology
• Wood Technology
• Classics
• Graphics
• Business Studies

 Wellbeing Programme

All students also complete our 3-year Wellbeing Programme including all of the following:

• Physical Education
• CSPE
• SPHE
• Learning to Learn Programme

Assessment

Classroom Based Assessment (CBA’s) and Final Assessments are both reported on as part of a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA). This also includes reports on other areas of achievement of students in our school and their participation in the Wellbeing Programme.
